blue

Driving home from work down the 101, I looked out at the pretty blue ocean, the sunlight glinting off the waves. It made me homesick because as pretty as it is, it's still cold and I can't go swimming in it without risking hypothermia and pneumonia (which means I am not going in that water...). I miss swimming in the ocean.

Well, you could invest in a wetsuit if you are really hankering for a swim.

yeah, it's not the same.

Aww...Claudia. You sound so homesick sometimes. :) You take such beautiful pictures girl!

Claudia said...

yeah, i get that way. :(
how do you like the update? hehe...I like the wetsuit pic...it's called "dont fart in your wetsuit." found both online.

someone sent me that fart in a wet suit email.

I did some scuba diving during the prehistoric days.

The water in Puget Sound is cold.
If you pee... it feels soooo warm.

LOL...I can see your point! Like Pamela, I'm near Puget Sound, so no bikini swimming unless you want to freeze your hiney off!

Whoa that is the ugliest wet suit I have ever seen.

Great ocean pics. But man, that suit looks uncomfortable!

I'll take a dip in the South Florida ocean for you when I hit the beach tomorrow ;-)

Dear claudia. I'm with you about swimming in the cold. I just went on a holiday to the coast, and some locals told me "the water is plus 10 (celcius)! Great for swimming!" My response: "I don't swim unless the waters is 22 degrees or more".

Claudia, I know exactly how you feel. Swimming off Cape Cod, when it's cold enough to be refreshing, but warm enough to be safe...mmm.

On the other hand, I hate swimming in the Carolinas. Too warm--it's like swimming in the kiddy pool. You just wonder whose piss you're sitting in.

JB, sigh...please enjoy responsibly!! :)

Odat... :)

Dear LMM, EXACTLY!!!!

Crank...I found the water too cold in Balti!! Cape Cod...I don't know. Growing up in S. Fl, the water temps in the summer are about 82...mmm....

Apart from the risk of pneumonia, what about the risk of sharks or other nasty bitey things?

Claudia said...

mind...I'm usually not too worried about those back in FL, but here they do get great whites. a bit scary.
